Why voting matters
I just watched a video that has a lot of relevance to my group project. It's a video about why college age students are choosing to vote or to refrain from voting. Most of the students that were interviewed said they don't know much about politics and that their votes are largely unimportant. The goal that our group has is to inform those who are uninformed, and thereby motivate more students to vote.
I found it interesting that those who said they didn't know much about politics were also the ones who claimed their votes don't count. The few who seemed a bit more informed understood that their votes really meant how their future would turn out. This is the goal of our group, to inform people of politics a little more. From this video it is clear that many people who are more informed are more likely to vote.
